Alongside the announcement of their upcoming album, Maverick Thinker, William The Conqueror have dropped an incredible new single in ‘Quiet Life’. The band have taken on the influence of a wide range of artists from Johnny Cash to Nirvana, and they all show up here. Simple guitar chords and a restrained rhythm section support soulful, beautiful melodies. The track eventually expands to be full of backing vocals, piano and strings. On the decision to move towards more grandeur, the band explain: “With ‘Quiet Life’, we wanted to step outside the sound of the trio and build some walls, add some layers for this one.
